Hotel Máj
Hotel Máj is a part of
SOREA
Hotels of Slovakia, situated in the northern part
of Low Tatras National Park at the entry of the Jánska valley. The
hotel is located at the end of the municipality of Liptovský Ján,
which belongs among the most attractive localities of the distinctive
Liptov region. Thanks to the rich presence of thermal
and mineral springs, Liptovský Ján is a popular place for balneal and
recreation stays.
How to Get There?
By Shuttle bus
The shuttle bus for conference participants will leave:
- January 17th (Saturday), 11:00 in the morning from Hotel Družba in Bratislava (see the map). The journey to the conference
venue will take approximately 6 hours.
- January 22nd (Thursday), 12:00 from Liptovský Ján to Bratislava, after
the lunch.
If you are interested in travel by shuttle bus, please contact us as

By Plane
The closest airport to Liptovský Ján is the
Poprad-Tatry
Airport with international
connection to London Luton Airport in the UK only. It is better to fly to
Bratislava
or
Vienna
and get to the place of meeting
using another connections. From Vienna Airport get to Bratislava by a
bus and then you can change to bus or train to Liptovský Mikuláš, or
you can
couple the shuttle bus organized.
By Train
The closest town to the conference site with international
train
connections
is Liptovský Mikuláš. There are regular connections to Bratislava,
Prague and Košice. The information about the trains can be obtain on
the webpage of the
Slovak
Railways.
The distance from the railway station in Liptovský Mikuláš to Hotel
Máj
in Liptovsky Ján is appr. 7km. There are regular bus connections from
Liptovský Mikuláš to Liptovský Ján, the distance from the bus stop
to
Hotel Máj is appr. 5 min. walk. Additional possibility is taxi, the
taxi from the railway station in Liptovský Mikuláš to the Hotel Máj
costs appr. 12 Euro.
By Bus

station. The distance from the bus station in Liptovský Mikuláš to

By Car
Highway D2 is going directly near
Liptovský Ján,
coming from east you should take the exit to Liptovský Hrádok and
head
towards Liptovský Ján
approximately 7 km. Coming from west there is a direct exit to
Liptovský Ján, drive through the municipality until you get to a
crossroad with
a large table heading you to the Hotel. The Hotel is visible from the
main street also, you can not miss it.
